Bikeservice Superprestige Trophy Regulations

ARTICLE 1 - ORGANISATION

The Bikeservice Superprestige is a trophy made up of all the granfondos organised by Bikeservice, with cumulative points and open to the general public. It will be contested in accordance with these regulations and the rules set out therein.

ARTICLE 2 - CALENDAR

The Bikeservice Superprestigio consists of six scoring events, as follows:

  • Eurobec Granfondo | 17th March
  • Viana Granfondo | 7th April
  • Douro Granfondo | 5th May
  • Gerês Granfondo | 2nd June
  • Bragança Granfondo | 14th July
  • Monção and Melgaço Granfondo | 15th September
  • Amarante Granfondo | 13 October

ARTICLE 3 - COMPETITION CATEGORIES

In each race, Superprestígio Bikeservice will recognise the absolute best in each category (minifondo, mediofondo and granfondo), in the men's and women's categories. Likewise, the winning team in the absolute classification by distance will receive a trophy.

ARTICLE 4 - PARTICIPATION

The general rules for participation are defined in the Special Regulations for each race. However, the following should be noted:

  • As this is the first race of the season, in the Eurobec Granfondo there will be no bibs identifying the leading team (yellow) or the respective leaders of the individual rankings;

  • In the remaining races, the yellow jersey must be worn by the leaders of each distance, unless they are not taking part;

  • The same obligation applies to all members of the leading teams in the Superprestige (minifondo, mediofondo and granfondo), to whom the organisation will give yellow bibs.

ARTICLE 5 - RANKINGS AND SCORING

The six races that make up Superprestigio Bikeservice score points for the individual and team rankings, with the Douro Granfondo having a special score. In order to determine the absolute winners (male and female) over the three distances and the team with the best absolute ranking, also by distance, points will be awarded as follows:

ARTICLE 6 - TIE-BREAKING CRITERIA

  1. Whenever there is a tie, the winner and/or the winning team will be determined based on the highest number of 1st places, 2nd places, 3rd places (individually or collectively, depending on the case), and so on, obtained over the respective distance.

  2. If equality persists, the athlete who obtained the best classification in the last race competed will be declared the winner. This criterion (best individual place) will also be applied to determine the winning team whenever the tie prevails after applying the first tie-breaking method.

ARTICLE 7 - PROTOCOL CEREMONIES

At the end of each race, the following elements must be present at the protocol ceremony for each distance in competition (minifondo, mediofondo, granfondo):

  • The leader of the absolute ranking - yellow jersey
  • The leader of the absolute ranking - yellow jersey
  • The team winning the absolute classification - Bikeservice Superprestige Trophy

ARTICLE 8 - TROPHIES

In the sixth and final granfondo (Amarante Granfondo), the following trophies will be awarded by distance:

  • Superprestígio Bikeservice trophy and yellow jersey - absolute individual winner;
  • Bikeservice Superprestige Trophy and yellow jersey - absolute individual winner;
  • Bikeservice Superprestige Trophy - to the three teams with the best absolute classification.

ARTICLE 9 - OMISSIONS

Cases not provided for in these Regulations shall be resolved by Bikeservice, and there shall be no appeal against any decisions taken.

ARTICLE 10 - FINAL PROVISIONS

Bikeservice reserves the right to amend these Regulations whenever necessary and without prior notice.
