Super Prestígio
The Superprestige trophy is coming
In 2024 there will be new reasons to compete for Bikeservice's grand prix. The Superprestige Trophy will honour the best performances in each distance and reward the regularity of athletes and teams. The individual and collective winners of the Bikeservice Superprestige will emerge from this competition, but with each race, the six yellow jerseys at stake can always change hands. And the same can happen with the team leaders, who will be signalled by a yellow background dorsal.
And how will the Bikeservice Superprestige work? Quite simply. It will be made up of all six grandfonds organised by Bikeservice. The points are cumulative, but the Love Tiles Douro Granfondo will have a special classification, since more points will be awarded - about twice as many as the other events.
This means that, as important as the results, regularity will be decisive in determining the winners of the Superprestige trophy. There will be points up to the 50th place - 10th in the case of teams - which means that the fight for the final victory will be lively.
Thus, at the podium ceremony for each race, yellow jerseys will be awarded to the absolute leaders (male and female) by distance (Minifondo, Mediofondo and Granfondo) and a trophy to the best-placed team, also for each distance in the competition. Symbols of leadership in the individual ranking, the jerseys are compulsory for the next race. And so on and so forth.
At the Amarante Granfondo, the last race of the season, the absolute winners will be honoured with the Bikeservice Superprestige winner's jersey. The three teams with the best overall classification in each distance will receive a trophy.
