Superprestigio Bikeservice 2026

The country's largest amateur cycling competition returns in 2026 for its third edition. Once again, the battle is on for one of the six yellow jerseys, which will honour the top performances across each distance and reward the consistency of both athletes and teams. This year, the Superprestigio Bikeservice Trophy features seven events.

Right in the heart of the Minho region, Viana do Castelo kicks off the season on 15 March. Next, the Superprestigio "caravan" heads to the Alentejo where, on 12 April, the EuroBEC Granfondo will take place. As usual, Elvas and Campo Maior are on the radar for this unique race, but the 2026 edition features Badajoz as both the starting and finishing points.

The incomparable Douro Granfondo takes to the road on 26 April, followed by the Gerês Granfondo on 7 June, and the Bragança Granfondo the following month, scheduled for the 12th. The final two events of the season will take place after the summer holidays. On 20 September, the Alto Minho region will host another Monção e Melgaço Granfondo.

The final standings will be settled at the Ourém-Fátima Granfondo, a brand-new addition to the Bikeservice calendar. The champions' crowning ceremony is set for 18 October, where the overall winners will be joined by the three teams with the best general classification in each distance.

Points are cumulative, but the Douro Granfondo will once again have a special weighting, awarding approximately double the points of the other races. Consequently, consistency will be just as vital as individual results in determining the winners of the Superprestigio Bikeservice Trophy.

Under the terms of the regulations, points are awarded down to 50th place — 10th for teams — ensuring a lively contest for the overall victory. Furthermore, at each event's podium ceremony, the overall leaders (male and female) for each distance (minifondo, mediofondo, and granfondo) will be presented with the yellow jersey to wear provisionally. As a symbol of their lead in the individual rankings, wearing the jersey is mandatory.
