Art. 1 – The EUROBEC Granfondo 2026 is an Open Event, with an amateur competitive nature, organized by Bikeservice, and held in accordance with the Regulations of the Portuguese Cycling Federation and the present regulation, respecting the respective rules, as well as the rules of the Highway Code. Participation is limited to two-wheeled vehicles (road bike, mountain bike, or tandem), and motorized vehicles or e-bikes are not allowed.
Art. 2 – Date/Distances The 4th edition of EUROBEC Granfondo 2026 will start at 9am (Spanish time) on Sunday 12 April 2026 in Badajoz and finish in the same town.
The opening of the BOXES starts at 8 am; the finish line control closes at 4 pm.
The start has about 1km controlled until the free pace begins. Art. 3 – The EUROBEC GRANFONDO will have a distance of 150km in the Granfondo version. There will also be two shorter distances, one called Mediofondo, with a length of 100km, and the Minifondo, with 60km. In any of them, the use of a properly approved helmet is mandatory.
Art. 3.1 – Circulation in Spain
By determination of the Dirección General de Tráfico, in Spanish territory, the race protection will only be done over a time interval of (5) five minutes; that is, policing is not guaranteed to participants whose delay to the front of the race exceeds that time. A reinforcement of the scrupulous compliance with the traffic rules and the obligation to circulate in the right lane is appealed.
Art. 3.2 - Detour for the Granfondo – Information coming soon Art. 4 – Participation/Registration
The event will have a limit of 1500 participants in the sum of the three distances, who must register through the EUROBEC GRANFONDO website (www.bikeservice.pt) or at the Bikeservice headquarters, Póvoa de Varzim.
Art. 5 – The registration fee can be paid by MB ref. (MB Ref. validity period of 72 hours).
After payment is made, in case of withdrawal until March 12, 2026, the participant can recover 50% of the registration fee.
After this date, the registration is considered final.
Art. 6 - After March 29, changes of ownership of the registration or alteration to another Granfondo organized by Bikeservice are allowed upon payment of administrative fees in the amount of €5. Art. 6.1 – The administrative fee applied does not include new personalization of the bib number in case of change of ownership after March 29.
Art. 6.2 – The misuse of the race number – such as, for example, its transfer without changing the ownership – releases the organisation and the insurance contracted by it from any liability for any accident, damage and/or injury that the unauthorised participant may cause/suffer. Art. 7 – Participation is only allowed to individuals over 15 years old, being the sole responsibility and risk of the participants.
These, at the time of registration, must be physically and clinically fit for the event.
Forparticipants aged between 15 and 16 years (cadets) it is mandatory to do the shorter course.
The athletes of the junior category (17 and 18 years old), are excluded from participating in the longest distance.
For the longest distance they must be at least 19 years old by the end of the year 2026.
Art. 8 – Registration Cost: Minifondo, Mediofondo, and Granfondo until 6:00 pm on April 10, 2026:
€43 - FEDERATED ATHLETES - Athletes Federated in the Portuguese Cycling Federation
€47 - NON-FEDERATED ATHLETES - Athletes NOT Federated in the Portuguese Cycling Federation All foreign participants are considered NON-FEDERATED. All participants who do not have a federative license for the current year, issued by the Portuguese Cycling Federation, must mandatorily subscribe to the registration with insurance (for non-federated athletes), which includes a personal accident civil liability insurance for the day of the event. The cost of the registration, until April 10, 2026, will be 43 euros exclusively for those federated in the UVP-FPC. For non-federated athletes, the cost is 47 euros. It is MANDATORY to register the federative license number at the time of registration. In case of an accident, the participant has to activate the federation's insurance. Athletes federated in the Portuguese Federation of Cycle Tourism and Bicycle Users (FPCUB), as well as those federated in the Triathlon Federation of Portugal will also have to subscribe to this last registration since the insurances included in their licenses do not cover this type of event. For all registrations made after March 22, 2026, the bib number will not be personalized with the participant's name. The registration will only be considered valid after its payment, within the established period and through the payment methods disclosed when the registration is finalized. The invoice related to the event registration will be issued according to the information collected in the registration form. Registrations close when the limit of 1500 participants is reached or on April 10, 2026, at 6:00 pm.
To guarantee the desired jersey size, you must register and pay for your registration by March 12 at 11:59 p.m.
After March 12, it will not be possible to exchange jersey sizes.
Art. 9 – We call attention to the mandatory nature of the license being valid at the time of the event. Those who registered in the year prior to the event with a license valid for that season and have not renewed it in the current year will not be covered by the registration fee for federated athletes.
Art. 10 – It is mandatory to place the front number plate on the bicycle's handlebars; if the participant places it in any other area than the one indicated, entry to the starting box will not be allowed. It is also mandatory to use the bib number on the back, under penalty of non-classification in case of its absence.

- Personal accident insurance in accordance with the law in force (for athletes not federated in the FPC - with a deductible of €90)
Coverage capital per person:
- Death by Accident: €27,665.18
- Permanent Disability by Accident: €27,665.18
- Treatment Expenses for accident: €4,425.92
- Simultaneous Death of Insured Person and Spouse: €15,000.00
- Funeral Expenses: €5,000.00
- Expenses for rescue operations, search, transport of the injured: €1,000.00
- Deductible per person: €90.00 (borne by the insured athlete)
The one-day insurance is underwritten by the Portuguese Cycling Federation, and is on a cash-on-delivery basis.
There will be an official EUROBEC GRANFONDO kit, consisting of a jersey, shorts, and gloves, which will be available in the online store and at the race secretariat.

Art. 12 – Timing Although it is an open event, each participant will have their time timed through a non-transferable and mandatory electronic chip system, under penalty of disqualification. All participants must pass under the start arch, under penalty of the chip not being activated and their time not being timed. The chip will only be read if it is placed according to the instructions. It is mandatory to place the front number plate with the chip on the bicycle's handlebars. The organization is not responsible for the failure of the presentation of results resulting from the incorrect placement of the chip. The results will show the Chip time, which is the time between passing the start and finish arches, this time being merely indicative.
The time counted for the classification begins as soon as the event starts, for all participants at the same time.
Art. 13 - Starting Order
The start for the Granfondo, Mediofondo, and Minifondo will be given simultaneously, with participants being distributed into starting boxes named as follows:

Art. 15 – Secretariat
Location: Polideportivo la Granadilla
On April 11 between 10 am and 7:30 pm (Spain)
On April 12 from 7 am to 8:30 am. (Spain)
Mandatory documents for pickup:
Registration holder:
- Citizen Card;
- In case of being federated, it is mandatory to present the sports license (or photocopy)
Pickup by another person:
- Citizen Card number and date of birth of the registration holder;
- In case the holder is federated, it is mandatory to present the sports license (or photocopy).
Art. 16 – Medical Assistance The EUROBEC GRANFONDO will have medical support provided by the organization that will be activated whenever a participant requests it from a member of the organizing staff or through the medical emergency number available on the front number plate.
Art. 17 - Mechanical Assistance The event will have mechanical assistance at the starting location and along the course, carried out by vehicles and members of the organization.
It is forbidden to provide mechanical assistance during the race by private support cars or teams of the participants. The circulation of team and private vehicles during the course is expressly prohibited.
Art. 17.1 – Participants are advised to carry basic material and tools with them, such as spare inner tubes, tire levers, and a pump to deal with simple problems like punctures. Although they can count on the help of organization members, these may be far from the breakdown location, which will delay the participant more than strictly necessary.
In case of a breakdown, the organization offers labor, but if it is necessary to replace any part, this will be charged to the participant.
Art. 18 – Legal Provisions All participants are required to respect the laws of the Highway Code, since the EUROBEC GRANFONDO runs on roads open to traffic. Those who do not comply with the law will be expelled from this and future editions of this event.
Art. 19 – The organization cannot be held responsible for any accident that the participant may cause or be a victim of, nor for any debts incurred by the participants before, after, or during the event, nor for breakdowns or losses that bicycles and/or other equipment of the participants may suffer. By registering, the participant is implicitly exempting the organization from liability for the loss or deterioration of personal objects under any circumstance.
Art. 20 – The organization reserves the right to make modifications it deems appropriate, on the course or otherwise, whenever they are justified. Likewise, it reserves the right of admission to the EUROBEC GRANFONDO.
Art. 21 - Image Rights Acceptance of this regulation means that the participant authorizes the EUROBEC GRANFONDO organization to record, in whole or in part, their participation; authorizes the use of their image in the promotion and dissemination of the EUROBEC GRANFONDO image in all its forms (TV, radio, press, photos, DVD, internet, posters, flyers, etc.) and transfers all rights related to its commercial and advertising exploitation without claiming any financial compensation. The organization guarantees participants full respect for data protection law.
Art. 22 – The mere act of registering for this event implies full acceptance of this regulation, while at the same time waiving any and all legal action against the organization that could arise from participation in the EUROBEC GRANFONDO.
Art. 23 – Penalties
All those who: a) Disrespect the Highway Code.
b) Do not respect the instructions provided by members of the organization and/or law enforcement.
c) Do not pass the zero-control at the start and other mandatory checkpoints along the route.
d) Do not respect the environment, polluting or degrading it along the route, whether by throwing away waste or other things.
e) Have their own support car that, without the organization's approval, could in any way harm the normal progress of the ride.
f) Behave disrespectfully towards the present regulation and/or the normal progress of the race. will be penalized, in the last instance with disqualification.
Art. 24 – Final Provisions All participants are strongly recommended to undergo a full medical examination before participating in this ride. Likewise, attention is drawn to the need for adequate food/hydration, even though the organization provides liquid and solid refreshments at specific points on the course. Art. 25 - The organization shall not assume any liability, namely regarding the compensation of participants or the refund of registration fees, should the tour (open event) be postponed or cancelled due to force majeure; i.e., whenever weather, environmental, or safety conditions are deemed extreme (e.g., forest fires, storms, landslides, falling trees, cyclones, armed conflict, epidemics, pandemics, etc.) or when, for any other reason, the safety conditions of the participants or the organizing staff cannot be guaranteed. Should any of these conditions occur, the event will be cancelled or rescheduled at the organization's discretion.
Art. 26 – It is up to the organization to analyze and decide on any omitted and/or exceptional cases.
Art. 27 - The registration/participation of individuals serving a ban from their respective national federation for the use of doping substances will not be accepted.
Art. 28 - By registering for the EUROBEC Granfondo 2026, I authorize Stopandgo and Bikeservice to communicate with me via SMS and email for the following purposes:
